Join MBACUDA – The Mbatu Cultural and Development Association

The Mbatu Cultural and Development Association (MBACUDA) is one of the oldest and most distinguished community organizations in Cameroon’s Northwest Region. Our history dates back to the 1950s, before Cameroon’s independence, when visionary leader G.A. Nangah laid the foundation for community development and educational advancement. His wealth and influence during President Ahmadou Ahidjo’s era helped propel Mbatu toward a future of prosperity and progress.

Mbatu is a prominent Ngemba village in the Mezam Division, Bamenda II Subdivision. Our rich cultural heritage thrives under the leadership of His Royal Majesty, King Muma III (Teku Simon), who has served as Fon since March 8, 1989. His leadership reflects our deep-rooted values of unity, tradition, and collaborative governance through councils and community leaders.

Over the decades, MBACUDA has evolved into a dynamic and far-reaching network, serving Mbatu indigenes both at home and abroad. Our influence extends internationally through MBACUDA-USA Inc., a tax-exempt organization established in July 2012, dedicated to supporting and uplifting our diaspora community while strengthening ties with our homeland.
